Are you in the process of starting your own nutrition coaching business, but you’re still not sure how you’ll get prospective clients through the door? Let me tell you, not being able to get clients is one of the worst feelings. So whether you already have your business set up or are in the process of setting your business up, knowing you’re able to attract clients gives peace of mind. So today we are talking about client attraction and I will give you some tips about how to attract clients. However, before we get to it, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Tony Stephan and I’m a dietitian business coach. I help RDs make more IMPACT and more INCOME through nutrition coaching. However before I became a dietitian business coach, I was an RD nutrition coach. I served thousands of nutrition coaching clients over a time span of 12 years. My successful nutrition coaching business is what led me to where I am today. Now allow me to share with you some tips that will help you attract clients to your business.
Attract Clients To Your Business
When you have your own business, you’ll find that client attraction and making the sale is the lifeblood of your business. However, no one will consider buying your product or service until you get them interested in what you have to offer. That, my friend, is where client attraction comes in.
So now let’s talk about some ways that you can start attracting clients to your business today!
Find Your Niche
Many people will try and market themselves to a large market of people and please the masses. However, when you try to reach everyone you tend to reach no one! Remember, when you’re a dietitian nutrition coach, you are offering the SOLUTION to a problem. So when you serve everyone, it can confuse people on what solution you’re offering. If your business advertises all things weight loss, people will know to come to you for weight loss. If you’re producing mainly intuitive eating content on your page, then people will know to come to you for intuitive eating.
So finding your niche is very important when it comes to client attraction. Understanding WHO you serve will help you show that you have the solution for your ideal client! Most successful online nutrition coaches have a specific niche that they gear their business toward so that their clients feel as if they are being directly spoken to by looking at their content on their social media and websites. Find What Makes You Unique
Not only do you want a niche to serve, but you also want to find what makes you different from other nutrition professionals who are in the same niche as you. The truth is, that even when you niche down, there will always be other people who offer similar services to you. So the question is, what makes you different from the other weight loss dietitians offering weight loss services? What makes you different from the other intuitive eating RDs out there? These are only questions that you can answer, but it’s very important to think about.
Finding what makes you different from other nutrition professionals in the same niche is called your unique selling point (USP). This is something that we walk you through in the 90 Day Ignition Program, but the only way to qualify for the 90 Day Ignition Program is to first go through our Dietitian Nutrition Coaching Certification. The Dietitian Nutrition Coaching Certification is where we teach you the organization and systems that our students need to succeed as they set up their own nutrition coaching business.
Think Of Where Your Clients Will Come From
When it comes to client attraction, a huge part of it is understanding WHERE your clients will come from. One of the biggest mistakes I see business owners make is assuming that clients will come to them. However most of the time, you have to find where your clients are at first so you can reach them.
So some questions to ask yourself are, “Where is your ideal client hanging out at?” “What places (online or in-person) would you normally find them at?”. Once you have these questions figured out, it will be much easier to find and attract your ideal client. For example, it could be a matter of networking with other health professionals to get referrals. Or it could be a matter of finding communities where your ideal client is active in and networking in those.
Bottom Line: Attract Clients To Your Business
In the end, attracting clients to your business is all about finding your niche, finding what makes you unique, and knowing where your ideal clients will come from. You have to be ready day in and day out to create valuable content for your community and be able to communicate your value to your potential clients. And remember, you can’t deliver value until a sale is made! Want to know more about how to seamlessly close the sale?
